First and foremost, Dr. Henry believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This work is aligned to his Kingdom purpose. All support, tools, and knowledge are shared as a public service. Dr. Henry's school experience includes career development and compliance; prior roles include 2-year, 4-year, trade/apprenticeship, military/ROTC, district leadership, instructional, and comprehensive career counseling. 


As a multi-state licensed educator, he's earned his Bachelor of Science (Secondary Education), Master of Science (Education) from Indiana State University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. Additionally, he earned technical certifications in Actifical Intelligence (University of Maryland), Information Technology (Southwest TNCC), and Human Subject Research (University of Miami).


Currently, he supports students at the Arizona State University Digital Preparatory Academy. His role oversees the connections between instructional staff, dual enrollment, and post-secondary graduation plans. Prior to his current role, Dr. Henry served as the district college match lead at KIPP Forward Memphis; which his students achieved remarkable results (100% TSAC college-ready benchmarks, FAFSA completion, and all met their TN Promise scholarship requirements). Before relocating to the Midsouth, he was the executive director of the Department of College & Career Readiness for Minneapolis Public Schools, managing a portfolio of college-readiness state/federal grant programs (including a 7-year, $14 million TRIO community partnership grant) and a $33.2 million multi-year budget. In Indianapolis, he was the inaugural college admissions coordinator with MSD of Wayne Township Schools, supporting college programming for Ben Davis High Schools, provided direct student advising (1 to 1100+ student caseload), assisted in building leadership in increasing our graduation rate (63% to 92%), sustained college recruitment pipelines, and averaged $18 million in scholarships earned annually. Dr. Henry also has experience with university recruitment and outreach.


Dr. Henry has served on both the U.S. Department of Education & White House committee appointments (MN Reach Higher & My Brother's Keeper Initiative) and has served on multiple regional/national advisory committees. He is requested for conference presentations; content areas include service-learning, family engagement, equity, fundraising, cultural competence, dual-enrollment, success mentoring, and university student retention. Since 2018, Dr. Henry has been a volunteer high school ministry leader with Brown Baptist Church (MS). Dr. Henry enjoys experiencing nature, traveling, reading comic books, baking, spending time with his wife & two daughters, and Izzy.
